Bargaining Update # 4

After reviewing the information provided by ISS during the last 2 weeks, we are working specifically on the following items:

  • A Grievance/Arbitration process
  • Up to 2 employees to be paid for future bargaining sessions
  • A process for employees to transfer to vacant bridge house positions when available
  • A Leave of Absence policy
  • Seniority

We are hoping to be able to provide an update soon that we have finalized some or all of these issues.  Bargaining is not a process that we take lightly nor is it something that we can rush though either.  If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to call Dan Wagner at 813.626.5136

Bargaining Update # 3

Prior to beginning bargaining, we had requested information from the Company to assist in forming proposals.  We received more information requests from the Company this week and are reviewing them at this time.  We met with George Metropoulos (employee on committee) to discuss the issues and proposals.  Based on our discussions with George, we believe that we have put together proposals that will meet the majority of the items we received on the bargaining surveys.  We are still having discussions with the Company on the issues that are important to the emplopyees based on those surveys.  When we have more information or resolution to some of the proposals, we will send out another update.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Dan Wagner at the Union Hall (813.626.5136.)
