CSSC Report September 2009

Unfortunatly we did not have an Environmental meeting this month, so there were no new issues brought to management this month.  We are still having a problem with the sink backing up on the 2nd floor and it creates a foul smell thoughout the entire floor.  This is being reported on a daily basis and building maintenance is coming and unclogging, but there seems to be a bigger issue.

On Monday 9/14/09, when we came to work there was no air conditioning on the 8th, 9th or 10th floor.  Immediately calls were made to center director, Shannon and Mike Edwards and the problem was resolved within 30 minutes.  It did take a couple of hours for the floors to cool down.

Workplace attire rolled out on 9/14/09 and it was a fiasco, because not everyone was given the same message.  To my knowledge, no one was disciplined if they "violated" the policy, several verbals were given out.

We have numerous grievances for worksheets on PPAT and Recap.

We have also had several investigations on misuse of company equipment and company time.  Reps are witnessed on E-Talk system putting a customer on hold to have personal same time conversations or pull up the internet to look at facebook, myspace or other non work related websites.

Training is starting for HSI (DSL) billing, this work was previously done by contractors. On the Fiber side of the house, Promo Zone 5 is rolling out on 9/21/09 and we were assured that all the marketing calls for Florida would come to the CSSC, in the past marketing calls have gone to AFNI (contractors).

IHD supervisors have decided that there will no longer be any 1/2 lumches on that schedule.  IHD reps were upset, but it was explained to them that they are a seperate work group and not guaranteed a 30 minute lunch.  No one was upset enough to give up the IHD position to go back to sales floor to get a 1/2 hour lunch.

Attendence as always is an issue in the CSSC, we have between 40-50 call outs per day.
