Brothers and Sisters,

Some of you may already be aware of the changes that Verizon has made to the way they process FMLA.

The FMLA team will begin accepting FMLA forms prior to the employees' first day of absence.  So, this means you can apply in advance of the first day of absence.  FMLA will also send you an email if you called out sick regardless if you applied for FMLa, as long as you are administratively eligble.  You will have 25 days to submit your form.  If your request for FML is denied for any reason, you have 14 days to submit a form for an administrative review.  If you need any help filling out your paperwork or have any questions, please call the Hall and talk to a Rep.
